Our software developer program has fully funded scholarships available for qualified individuals. Our mission is to serve Greater Milwaukee by helping those who are unemployed or under-represented in order to strengthen families and build communities.
We believe that every person has the potential to ascend to greater levels of success personally and as impactful members of society. We are a nonprofit, and our mission is to offer our training programs on a reduced- or no-cost basis. In addition, we go beyond IT training to teach students important corporate and life skills, to help them succeed in their future careers. Beyond that, our curriculum, job placement, instructors and other aspects are extremely high quality and on par with other programs you may be familiar with.
Yes we do, and we continue adding to our list of technology employers who are happy to hire Ascender Academy graduates.

Some students may qualify for their own computer, but computers are provided during instruction. In addition, Internet access will be provided during and outside of class hours at our facility to complete your work and additional study.
Our training program will last 9-10 months, which includes an entry-level and advanced IT training course. In order to get the most out of the program, students should expect to put in a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Our entire program, which consists of two courses, lasts between 9 and 10 months. After that, students will be prepared to begin a career in the growing IT industry.
